1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets forth the rules and guidelines for using the Smart PEPPOL invoicing platform and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to comply with this policy.

Important: This policy is designed to protect all users and ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of our Service. Violation of this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account.

2. Utilisation autorisée

The Service is intended for:

📄Creating, managing, and storing legitimate business invoices and credit notes
🌐Sending and receiving electronic documents through the PEPPOL network
👥Managing business relationships with clients and suppliers
📊Generating financial reports for your business
🇪🇺Complying with Belgian and EU invoicing requirements

You must use the Service only for lawful business purposes and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

3. Activités interdites

You may not use the Service to:

Illegal Activities

  • Create fraudulent, false, or misleading invoices
  • Engage in tax evasion or money laundering
  • Conduct any illegal business or transactions
  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights

Harmful Content

  • Upload, transmit, or store malicious software or code
  • Include illegal, harmful, threatening, or offensive content in documents
  • Transmit content that infringes intellectual property rights

System Abuse

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use automated scripts or bots to access the Service without authorization
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or usage limits
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service

Network Abuse

  • Send spam or bulk unsolicited messages through the Service
  • Abuse the PEPPOL network by sending invalid or malicious documents
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Use false information when registering or using the Service

Account Misuse

  • Share account credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
  • Use the Service on behalf of unauthorized third parties
  • Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization

4. Conformité au réseau PEPPOL

When using the PEPPOL transmission features of the Service, you must:

Ensure all documents comply with PEPPOL technical specifications
Provide accurate and truthful information in all transmitted documents
Maintain valid PEPPOL participant identifiers
Not attempt to spoof or falsify sender or recipient information
Comply with all PEPPOL network rules and policies

6. Exigences de sécurité

To help maintain the security of the Service, you must:

🔐Use strong, unique passwords for your account
🤫Keep your login credentials confidential
📱Enable multi-factor authentication when available
🚨Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach
🔄Keep your devices and software updated with security patches

7. Utilisation des ressources

You agree to use the Service within reasonable limits:

  • Do not exceed the usage limits of your subscription plan
  • Do not consume excessive system resources that may affect other users
  • Use API access responsibly and within rate limits
  • Do not store data unrelated to the intended purpose of the Service

8. Signalement des violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to us. We take all reports seriously and will investigate accordingly.

9. Application

We reserve the right to take appropriate action in response to violations of this policy, including but not limited to:

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified policy.
